Thanks for clarifying. It all makes sense now You had me thrown off a bit there. Rhubarb, I believe that shot he posted last there is a sample, and not his shot. He is waiting for his film to be developed. It's a fun idea. I think I might give it a try sometime. Having a brightly colored, contrasting background is a nice touch.

You can buy a square vase from Ikea or your local cheapo furnishing store. It's going to go funny around the edges in a round glass. Also, I'd say the example image is a macro shot and not a telephoto from a distance, which would be sharper.

I also thought you were simply trying to take a photo through the viewfinder for an artistic sort of reason or something! I actually have done that once or twice out of boredom :blushing:

The shot you are after certainly looks like a winner though
