Last evening I covered a Veteran's candlelight tribute ceremony at a local Cenotaph. Several of these take place around Victoria each year as acts of Remembrance. Local military, cadets, first responders and citizens gather for a short speech, a moment of silence and then candle are placed. The Veterans take the candles and pass them to local youth who place them to symbolize the 'passing of the torch' from one generation to another. As always, comments, critique and suggestions appreciated.

I’m new to this, but can you do something to tone down the car headlight?

Good shots of a solemn occasion - and tricky light levels too.

Thanks! Good catch - totally missed that.

Cheers. Yes, the light was NOT my friend, but I didn't want to invade the ceremony by popping a flash all over the place.

Considering the light challenges you were dealing with these are great.

Very nice series...

A VERY tricky time of the day to shoot a live-action event.

Thank-you!

Nice set. Good timing and composition. I'd consider bringing up the light levels a tiny bit .
Thanks - I've deliberately kept the levels a bit low to enhance the 'night' aspect of it.

Very nice series...
THanks! :)

Not the easiest job, but it worked out (I think).

Very nice coverage.
Thanks, mate! :)
