Vibration Compensation on or off with a monopod?

I'm getting a sigma 70-200 2.8 with OS this week. I'm just wondering what everyone does with the OS while on a monopod? I know that they reccomend turning it off for use on a tripod but what about a Monopod? Thanks for the advise and heads up.

I don't use a mono but my guess is off. Lets see what the people who are more accustomed to monos answer.

Monopods aren't that steady, you would leave it on.

Agreed. I tried some shots last year with VR on and off on a monopod and it made a significant difference in sharpness. My recommendation would be to experiment for yourself and see what works best for you, but I think you'll find that it works better with it on.

Well, Duh. I guess that should have been my first place to look. I haven't got the lens yet due to Adorama being closed for Passover so I guess I will look when I finaly get it. Thanks for the "slap in the face" KMH! LOL
