I was cruising Vimeo this morning, and ran across the Nikon group. I decided to join, and started watching the videos, and the video below struck me. Even though its a video, its stills, so I'm starting a discussion about it here.

There are so many random shots in this video, but every single one draws you in and makes you want to look more. For me, every shot brought some kind of emotion with it. I absolutely LOVED the artists eye, and wondered what it was about his/her composition that makes things so interesting. I couldn't pin point any rules that he/she was using, but that may be the reason every shot looks good... he/she may have thrown out the rules.

What do you think?

I didn't watch the entire 'video'. I can't bring myself to call a slideshow, a video.

The photographer extensively, and effectively, uses the "Rule of Thirds", proportion, simplicity, shape, leading lines, and most of the other common visual image compositional 'rules'.

Being a 'video', horizontal framing was the only option.
