What's new

Vintage 50's themed shoot (First Post)

Good point Granddad. I don't think you have to be that old to know the answer is certainly not. His mom would have at least sewn on a patch.
Not that I know what someone my age back then would do, but from personal experience as once being a teenager I often wore ripped jeans simply because it didn't bother me and I didn't care, before it was trendy. I wouldn't pass it off as a certainty that someone in the 50's wouldn't have done the same.

Now that my attention is on it though, I would at least cut off/ spot heal the thread that's hanging down from the hole if only for the photo aesthetic.

His hair is too dry, but otherwise it's a great set. ;)
I personally think his hair looks great.

It does look great, but I'm old enough to remember Brylcreem... I'm even old enough to have used it (yes, I did have hair in my dim and distant youth)! If your hair didn't look oiled and shiney you weren't properly dressed. I sometimes shudder when I think back to those days.

On a side note, that's why they used to put lace doilies on the backs of easy chairs, to protect the chair from men's hair oil (they were called antimacassars because in the Victorian and Edwardian eras macassar oil was the gentleman's hair oil of choice).
