Vintage Shoot

Had this model come into my home studio looking for vintage style portraits. Was such a great shoot. Had lots of fun with this shoot and just wanted to share.

Nice, except for the gloves getting lost on the background.. kind of kills the whole shot. Almost all of the other shots are better because of that. Nice Model. You do realize that by framing the shots so tightly (or cropping them that way, that standard frames would not work for these prints, right? For instance, the 2nd one of the set... great shot, but framing it will crop her left elbow and her head.

Thanks for your feedback, cgipson1. I understand about the gloves. The actual print shows much greater separation of the gloves to the background. The crop was done in 8 of the 10 photos in post to create 8x10" prints. I still have the original PSD's in their native size. Good eye to catch that.

Agree with charlie, missing fingers were the first thing I noticed. I would also recommend smoothing the wrinkles and creases in her dress, they are extremely distracting.

Neither the background nor the pose (mouth wide open?) strike me as particularly vintage. These are pretty modern "looks" as far as I can dredge up stuff in my mind.
