WAITING TO WORK ~ Whilst hunting for waterfowl the name of the game for the retriever is waiting. Patience in young gun dogs is a virtue that must be cultivated. and fostered from very early on in their training. Here me retriever TRAD can be seen against a backdrop of a string of eider decoys in our rig on the waters of Casco Bay. I know this look on TRAD'S face all to well, it conveys the message, "Hey Boss, drop some eider, I want to go for a swim". Water temperatures read 37 degrees Fahrenheit during this hunt. Amazing work ethic is TRAD'S.

Cheers,

Rather ironic that the "camouflage" is what stands out the most.

Actually the camo breaks up the outline of the dog as opposed to a single black blob of a dog as perceived by the birds. Much more importantly, the vest has added floatation for the dog whilst working in cold water and the neoprene helps the dog retain core temperatures when he exits the water helping to0 prevent hypothermia.
