Walking in a Winter Wonderland

My OH and Sam.

Shot in RAW, used HDR to get the sky back and lighten the shadows. Not tonemapped.
I know the snow is a bit bluey, but here I'm OK with that.

It doesn't quite work for me, there's too little contrast below the horizon. I think it's the big tree that throws it out, very strong silhouette against the sky but more detail showing in the trunk below.

Try bringing up the shadows and blacks and then adding more contrast... Maybe some dodging
