Wanting to upgrade to DSLR... Lens Question

I have a Canon Film Rebel 2000 (I think that's what it's called) with two lenses. Can't recall exactly what they are at the moment, I'm posting from work, and the lenses are at home. The lenses are EF mount, both have an auto/manual focus switch on them. My first question (in what will likely be a long line of them eventually) is will these lenses work with the Digital Rebel XT? If so, I've decided that this is the DSLR I am going to start out with. Lots of features and a great price, especially for just the body. (I'm on a pretty limited budget, so price is a BIG factor for me!)

They will work with any Canon DSLR.

They will work but the field of view for any given lens will be narrower than what you are used to on a film SLR. This is because the sensor of the XT is smaller than a 24x36mm negative (Google 'crop factor' for more explanation).
