It's becoming more clear to me by the day just how much of good final results in street photography is due to good PPing.
Mother Nature just has no interest in perfect lighting conditions.

Thats a nice picture.These type of picture are one of my favorites.I cant quite put my finger on but maybe more to the imagination I think..

I think that warm toned, saturated, even lush pictures appeal more and I aim PPing that way.
A great DOF confuses the issue as does a bright background because the viewers' eyes then will go there.
My goal in these kinds of pictures are simply constructed images with not a huge amount of detail in focus so the viewers' eyes naturally rest on the things that matter. I purposefully darken and dull the background so it retains enough detail to support the subject and help the viewer understand the scene but not so much that the viewer is tempted to look around back there.

I meant to say how much I like this when you posted it, but I got pulled away by other things (little ones). This image stayed with me for several days and your lattice picture today brought it right back. If that makes any sense?

IDK, is it me, or is the girls face OOF? Something just loooks odd. It appears everything is sharp except her face. Motion blur perhaps? Hey, maybe it's just these old eyes of mine.

There is no way to get these 'right' in camera.
The original is flat and dull and way boring.
The hard part is seeing what the picture could be and understanding not only how to get there but also how to compensate as much as possible for technical inadequacies in the 'negative.'
