Yes. I always use my macro lens. Although i might try my 80-200 one day. But the point is to get close to the drop and be nice and tight on it.

To be so close you also need a large depth of field. Two inches depth of field would be good if you can get it. It will probably be less than 1 inch. So you need the light to get a fast shutter speed and small aperture opening to get as much DOF as you can get.
