I just liked the look of this - what do you all think of the composition? I'm trying to improve!

I prefer this version - although a little long and that tree at the top left - which is badly edited.

Which for you is better? (or worse, and why?)

It really doesn't speak to me

You should have stopped at Hooters' nearby and shot some of their hot waitresses! Dude!

I like the second shot. The weather around here has been just like that...hot....a bit hazy...and the light is kinda' coming from behind a bit, so the color is a slight bit weak, and the aerial haze lowers the contrast. This is a pretty good rendition of what it's like there this time of the year...at least the sky has some color and it's not all rainy and the river's not all swollen and brown; see how wayyy high up those tethering pilings run?
