I'm watching this guys dog and I found out like a day ago that he has a waterfall and pond in his backyard. So here are a few :) CC pleasee??

1. I realize the house is a bit distracting... maybe that's just me?

Thank you in advance.

I like the second one better.

nice work though, keep getting better

Why'd you choose to use the on camera flash? #2 is by far the best compositionally though

It was.. about 9 pm when I took these. And the tree coverage of the pond and waterfall didn't give me much of the sky light so they came out dark if I didn't use the flash.

it would look softer if you lower the shutter speed, if you have a tripod that is. the pictures are really pretty without doing so though.

Definitely shun the flash in favour of a slow shutter speed. Tripod is a must of course.

Agree with you about the house in photo 1. I like photo 2 - it is more dynamic and I like the details and composition.

(Photo # 2) Is there more rock to the left? I really like the texture of the stones better than the green trees in the background. I would like to see an angle of more rock and moving the falls to the right edge. I really like the color, too.

I think there is a little bit more. But not too much.
I'll go out and try that.

And I do have a tripod... well, my brother does, but he doesn't use it.
But I always forget to grab it. :(

#1 would of been nice if there was no house there. lol But I'm liking #2.

Yeahh... I wasn't too happy with the house being there.

thank youu:)

#2 is composed nicely. The house is distracting in #1 and I agree with what was said earlier, I would prefer a slower shutter speed over flash, as you can see flash artifacts in the rocks in the first one.
