Shot this a couple of hours ago using my 70-300mm. No tripod but i had the VR on. Focal Length 300mm, Aperture f/10, shutter 1/320, ISO 200.

Thanks for the comments everyone. Just wished I had a 400mm when it comes to bird shots, but they are so pricey. Hey Alex, I noticed you have a 70-200 2.8 VR. I bet that is one sweet lens. I shoot deer pictures in the woods and I could really use the extra light that you get with the 2.8. Hopefully I will get one one day. Thanks again to everyone for the comments.

I think a closer crop would be a good idea, but it looks amazing how you have it now! Very nice job!

Not every shot, needs to be a "head shot." Personally, I like seeing some environment in animal shots.

The background is a little too busy, but it is a very nice waxwing image :thumbup:
