Can others edit my Photos
Photos NOT OK to edit
Ended up using two packs and 4 lights. 3 were actually used for the photo and the 4th was attached to one of the packs to bleed power.

Oooh I like this! In a creepy don't wanna be at home alone kind of way.

Hell yeah some off-camera flash and creativity.

And Zombieland on the TV... Here this is how I feel: :thumbup:

I think the "mood" may work well in B&W...

I added the yellow tint in post. B&W would be too cold for what I want.

Hey... its your work. :) I was just thinking out loud. :) I am a B&W Junkie after all.

I really enjoy B&W photos too, but there's times when I have an idea that I know just won't work well in B&W. Plus, I don't believe I've ever shot a B&W portfolio shot. It just seems inconsistant to have one thrown in there when the rest are all color.

My one friend said I should have had another scene from the movie on the TV so people would actually recognize it. I figure some people may not get the connection, but those that know a zombie stripper when they see one will.

i like VI, you didn't want him holding a bottle of beer though? That'd have looked cool too
you have any w/ emotions? Like him looking at the door and looking scared?

Where was the 3rd light? I know one (or two) for subject and one to cast the shadow outside. Just wasn't sure if you had two lighting the subject and their positions.

No. I didn't have much time to shoot this and you can't see why I shot it like I did unless you look at the large version.

Anyways, there's a post I put up in the discussions forum about the Lighting Essentials 52 weeks project. Week one is to come up with a mission statement and take a photograph around you house/apartment/trailer/where ever you live that illustrates the mission statement.

The first line of the DRS mission statement is, "We bring imagination to life." I have gotten much past that, but I figure I want me work to go in that direction. Two big inspirations of mine are Joel Grime and Tim Tadder. They both have similar lighting styles, but Tim Tadder's over all photos are just so creative and imaginitive. I want to be able to do over the top photo shoots where the finally image is something that's definitely not reality. My main focus is on portraiture and dealing with musicians and other performing artist.

So, thinking about what to do for a photo that matches the mission statement, this shot automatically popped into my head. I got home at about 6:00PM and had to be some where at 7:00PM, so I ended up getting the shot setup, taking the photos I needed, and cleaning up some what before leaving the house at 6:50.

That is a cool idea for sure!

It had a small 7 inch reflector on it aimed away from the subject at the back wall/ceiling. It's what's providing the very low light on the inside. I actually brough the exposure down in post a bit. The light on the subject has a tight grid on it, so it's only really exposing him in the chair.

At first I thought he was asleep, then I was thinking he has zombie survival stuff in the dark beside the tv.... then I thought maybe he was whackin off to the zombie stripper.... so.... now I'm just confused.

Enlighten me?

The stuff in the background is my beer kit. I'm rearranging a storage room in the basement for a tap system and freezer for lagering.
