very interesting, nice one! how did you get the nice black bacground?? was it at night and you lit it yourself?

Yes it was shot @ night " OUTSIDE. LOL " using a flashlight to catch the shadow. Everytime I got close to it, it would shake the whole web. Kinda scary indeed.

Great picture, love the lighting on him and the web, low tech yet effective. The shadow in the first picture makes him a whole lot creeper. Good exposure on the 2nd the detail on the spider is very good. Any Idea what spider it is or how big?

I'm not sure what kind of spider it was but it was about 1 1/2 to 2".
