Took some shots of my brother for his website (trying to make him look trustworthy ). He's a lawyer...wish I'd had a bookcase of law books to put behind him...

If you're looking for him to look "honest" I think you've missed it. I would certainly drop the light colored jacket, at least in that setting.

Most importantly, at least on my monitor, the face is blown out in spots. Quite a bit actually. The second shot is worst than the first, but they both (not even considering the 3rd) a pretty contrasty in the face. All in all, "harsh" looking. Which to me isn't "honest" looking. Maybe even try a "softer" look with some glowing or burring areas.

Just some thoughts.
