Perhaps just personal taste but I prefer to see where a bit more definition.

I prefer if you focus on the eyes. When you do that, there will still be some veil that is in focus. I assume you focused on the veil on purpose?

I agree with Robin. With these shots you have to have a stronger focal point, a really shallow DOF, and lots of light. I would have focused on one eye or the lips.

Agree with those two ^^ You might also try a monochrome; I think that could work well!
