I mean why is it they can't ever find anything good - like enough money for a soda in the couch cushions? B-mode polerezation? Sheesh.

And what is wrong with "B-Mode" polarization??? It is appropriate for "Beginner Mode" to be used at the beginning. You know, like the little green box on your mode dial. And "polerezation" didn't happen until later, when they grabbed hold of some strings and pumped them up with ether to get them to be more pole-like. Apparently even at those early times, size mattered.

Well, if it didn't make the A-list? Hmm... do I really need to get all sciency to answer that question? Lol. Also, I ordered the special redneck version of the D5200, so I don't have a green box. My "green box" is actually got an icon of a flying saucer, because that's the mode you need for taking bigfoot and ufo pictures pictures. The running man has been replaced by a monster truck, etc. Plus all the menus have been changed to make them more understandable to us redneck folk.

As for pulling strings, well duh. I mean do you really need to wast 10 years of your life in school to figure out that the universe is based on the principle of it's not what you know, but who you know? Lol

Someone has been watching too much science channel. I know, I watch it all the time as well. :thumbup:

I'm lucky that I have a daughter who's totally fascinated by this stuff, and we have long discussions about this. Sometimes I tell her something new (to her), and sometimes I learn something new from her. Last week, we went out and took a series to build up an image showing star-trails. Checked out the planets (Jupiter, Saturn, Mars), and the various sights. Was damn cold though (-24C) and fortunately the camera worked find with the Magic Lantern intervalometer while we took refuge in a warm car. Yesterday, she and her boyfriend were at the house for breakfast, and my wife decided to donate my organic chemistry model set, and they spend the next several hours building various molecules. Much better than Lego. Turns out she has a molecule-modeling software on her laptop and they were reproducing the molecules she was studying with the model set.

A had another daughter complain to me about the degree of change around her, and I mentioned that for someone sitting on a piece of slag floating on top of molten rock, she's too concerned about the little details - she was totally freaked out - and tried to expunge the knowledge from her consciousness. Eh. Some are comfortable with the "big picture" stuff, some are not.

And yeah. I got the title "pompous pontificator" at another (non-photographic) forum. :blushing:

Well, related to your critics, those who do not read nor think, tend to be jealous of anyone who does both.
