Well it is in my Tamron 150-600mm is ready for pick up.

Got the call last night will be picking it up after work today, they have a ten day return policy so I'll be trying it out to see if it will work with my Nikon D3100.
If not I was thinking of a way to purchase a Nikon D5200.
We will see.

That's great news. You will love it with what you want to get into. Just take your time and be patient with it. It will take a little while to get use to it at the longer focal length. So just take your time and don't let it throw you. You will get the technique right with plenty of practise.
