Best technique I know is called "Patience". Its actually very hard to find, and I don't believe you can download that as a plugin anywhere.


On serious note, too remove something and make it look 'real' takes a lot of time and patience to get it just right.

What I usually do is make a rough selection and use the content aware fill, just to get an idea of what photoshop thinks.

Then I'll flop back n forth between the clone tool and the healing brush and just keep copying patches from the surrounding area until I'm pleased.

Something like this, will take roughly an hour or two depending on how deep you dig.


If you send me the Raw or a higher quality one, I have some free time on my hands.

Try content-aware fill. just select the area around the post, go to Edit>Fill and I think a dialog should pop up that gives you the option of making it content-aware. This is only if you have CS6 and I think maybe CS5. It works pretty well on repeating patterns like water and brick.

Thanks everyone, we are excited about this chapter in our lives

Ill give this a shot as well. I started working on one of the poles yesterday and it was slow going but wasnt too bad looking. Just might take me a while haha. I am enrolled in an editing class this up coming quarter at school so I should be learning all this soon. Last class I took CS3 was the newest software hahaha
