Went Out for a Ciggie and Saw Fog C&C

That wasn't so bad was it? I didn't see anything in your post that would even be close to making any reasonable person upset, and it didn't upset me either for that matter.

See Eric's earlier post for the exif data...I thought it was at f22, but it was at f10 already as you suggest it should be...

I was holding the longer shutterspeed with my hands, no tripod so that most likely is the reason for the haze look...with the amount of light available I could have gone with a much longer shutter speed and a smaller aperture...it would have been nice to have a couple flashes to help separate the tree from the background perhaps...

Do you have a suggestion for a different composition...like I mentioned earlier...the tree is only a half block or so from the office I work at...

I can't wait until winter so I can get that same tree surrounded by snow...

Thanks for all the help....and try to not be timid about critiquing. Without a good critique...none of us will grow...we need it like plants need water...

You just critiqued them on their critique. How ironic, lol.

Did you shoot in RAW or JPG? If RAW, you can fix a lot of the exposure issues very easily. If JPG, you're limited, but have some options. Here's a quick effort:

I know you want to improve your on-camera skills, but post processing can help this image a lot.

I like it...and yes...it was shot in raw...I guess I could get on my butt and fix it...aren't most things get OFF your butt...but I'm a puter geek...so I guess I gotta get ON my "ass" and work...

I thought it funny I critiqued someones critique as well...that's what I get for drinking coffee and mountain dew at the same time....
