I just got my flash's in, and I just started to really mess with them today. I was just wondering what ya guys think, so far. I know this isn't the greatest background, or props, but just working with what I have. Shot this with the kit lens, 18 - 55mm lens and 2 Vivitar 285HV's

The only condition was the I shot through the umbrella's, one to the left side of me, and the other one fourth power a next to the stool. The only precondition lighting in the room was the sun.

To me it looks like the poor leopard keeps getting left in the dark.

This may just be the fact that the animals have glass eyes just sewn on there, but it looks like you don't really have a "main light". the catchlights in the eyes look like there picking up different lights from one eye to the other so there located in different areas. Its little things like that that you have to watch for when lighting

Good eye, I noticed it after I uploaded it as well. I was working in a pretty tight quarters, but that is no excuse.

I think it had to do with the eyes, and where I was shooting from. Just trying different angles, which I think your seeing as well in the last one. I think I was a little to close the other umbrella, IMO.

Waiting for the batteries to charge, and I might take another stab at it and see if I can find a black bath towel or something. Hehe.

All right. I revisited this one later this night, and see if this improved at all?

I really like the lighting in the second one, with just the lion. Though, the crop isn't great, it looks like you just dragged a random rectangle around it without considering the composition. It could do with a bit of a colour boost as well - the lion's colour is nicer in the first one.
