...for your kind of photography. Hobby stuff, not pro.

Assume you have all the incidentals like batteries, camera bag, memory cards, and a pocket tripod.

1) SLR body (I like Pentax, w/ body integral anti-shake)
2) Wide/normal/short tele zoom lens (18-55 kit lens is fine)
3) Bounce flash (top-of-the-line from Pentax)
4) Compact, high-end point & shoot camera (I like my Canon S90)
5) Telephoto zoom lens. Something in the 55-200 range.

This is just for fun, to see how different peoples' choices pan out.

Nikon Body (for good photo taking capabilities)
Lens with a large aperture (50mm f/1.4)
Nikon Creative Lighting System capable flash
Gorilla Pod with flash hotshoe adapter
Fun lens, Fisheye, Nikkor 10.5mm, makes for fun

1. SLR Bodies
2. SLR Lenses
3. Lighting equipment
4. Support equipment (tripods, monopods etc.)
5. Accessories for the above.

I think that about covers it. :D

1. Nikon body
2. Wide lens
3. Telephoto lens
4. Flash gun
5. Support equipment (tripod or monopod depending where I shoot)

Is this thread really going anywhere everyone so far has said the same thing...

1. Nikon body
2. Tokina 12-24 f4
3. Manfrotto 190XPROB
4. Nikon Remote
5. B+W 110 (3.0) SH NDx1000 77mm Neutral Density Filter

Its number 5 that I really couldnt do without! Although it wouldnt be much use without the rest :)

Landscapes and seascapes make me happy :)

That's all I have is 5.

So... all of my gear.

SLR body (canon XS)
50mm 1.8 Lens
Kit Lens
Remote Shutter Release
Tripod

Top 5 ... Top 2 are my eyes and my brain although you're probably not asking about that. Next are the camera body and 2 lenses. I only have 3 pieces of equipment. Wish I had a macro lens.

Did most of my shooting years ago without a tripod, do own one but never used it much. Flash was only used for indoor shots, camera body has one in it today.

Canon T1i
18-55mm kit lens
70-300 IS USM
24-70 f/2.8L USM
Manfrotto tripod & ball head

My will, which is stronger than my legs...

Nikon d60 body
nikkor 18-70
sb-600 with wireless triggers

canon film body (cheap full frame solution)
super wide angle zoom pro glass
tripod

i would like a tilt shift lens for straight lines and a fast telephoto

I would say:

1. My imagination
2. My eyes
3. My legs to get me where I want to take a photo
4. Camera (SLR+lens)
5. ND Filters, and lots of them

1. SLR body
2. 100 mm macro lens
3. flash
4.50mm
5. 17-40

Thats pretty much the equipment I have so thats what I use. The top 3 are my favorite.
