What camera?

I'm looking into getting a DSLR camera. And I've been thinking about getting the new Nikon D5100 the end of this month. I'm really into natural light photography and self portrait photography. Not looking to spend over $1000.

Used D90 body. 50mm 1.8 lens. You should be around $680-$720 all in.

It's unfortunate you're only interested in available light photography. Using supplimental lighting is usually what it takes to make stunning photos.

Most of the lenses Nikon offers today have a focus motor in them, and most of the ones that don't are more expensive than you likely want to spend for a lens anyway.
