what did i do wrong?

if i were using my 50mm f1.8 (i think thats considered to be a "fast lens")
the angle would have been even higher.

the 50mm 1.8 is good fast lens but i am referring to a fast auto focus, and the 50mm is not wide... however, if you were to get a 52mm fisheye adapter (like the one I showed you) it will fit on the 50mm so you can get closer and lower

i think that by "fast" chris was referring to autofocus speed, not it's maximum aperture.

i think using a 50mm for bmx would be kind of difficult unless you're reallllly far away. i like it for skating sometimes but i think bmx would be best suited with a wide angle. just my opinion though

^^^ yes ian, thats what i meant a fast auto focus must have been posting at the same time... i use mine for skating alot (but i put my fisheye adapter on it.. used it a few times for bmx

If you have issues with blow out skies you can also try using a graduated neutral density filter. It will help with the issue.
