It was a really bright day, so the yellow channel was BAM...right in your face...and it didnt look right to just turn down the yellows, so I tried to soften things a little and make them almost pastel.

What do you think?

Nice shots - the first one is my favourite.. Not sure what you mean by so I tried to soften things a little and make them almost pastel. How did you process these to do that?

^ WesternGuy, I reduced the highlights, whites, yellows, added some split toning and noise reduction.

For example, here is photo 1 with not much done to it. You can see how it differs a lot from the first one I posted.

If you're asking you must be wondering if it's overdone (or something). Too noisy looking, too much color so it looses any natural nature look. I'd ease off on it. Original's better but looks like it was middle of the day when it was bright out, maybe adjust the brightness some.

I think they're great!

I like the original one better.

I think yor fusr shot has overly-vivid greens...looks very "worked". My comment is that the greens on most of these are of different intensity/luminosity/saturation...not consistent...

I like the original also, sometimes all a photo needs is a bit of cropping, noise reduction and to sort the WB, lens correction in LR. I tend to not touch the colouring as I'm normally happy with it.
