I'm not sure if i like it in black and white or not, i feel like the shadows work well but its to dark.

The only thing I can say is that B&W photos are to be shot as a B&W, not a color that when converted to B&W might work. Also, yes, it is a bit dark.

I like the contrast of it. I think the darkness of it works good with this photo, just my opinion though.

Are you saying that a black and white photo can only be considered a black and white photo because it is shot that way? I thought it was about what the end product was.

It works fine with the conversion although I think it has compositional issues.

I think "it" is about what you want to make "it" about- IMO.
