What do you use to stamp the back of your photos?

I was told to use this stuff.

It shows through the other side of the inkjet print sometimes. What is the trick to stamping pictures with no show through?

Be mindful regarding the properties of the print paper you use. Some papers readily absorb inks/dyes, and some don't.

You would also want to consider if a marking pen uses an aqueous based or a solvent based ink/dye.

Many of the online print labs offer back printing of text.

The prints I get from my lab are made on professional paper which already has a 'Do not copy' message on it. Further to that, the file name is printed on the back, so I could manipulate the name to get what I want (within reason) on the back.

I did order a company stamp once, but the ink was terrible and would never fully dry on photo paper.

Go to your local printer and ask them for an appropriate stamp ink. I get one (at about $10/pad) which doesn't bleed through even the thinnest or cheapest paper. I have no idea what the name of it is, but I'm sure almost any professional stationer could fix you up.

If you have bunch you can run it through your printer medium gray. LOL just make sure of the orientation with a test sheet.
