Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
My camera's high quality Jpeg saves images with 72dpi.
When I convert my RAW images theres an option for the dpi value, currently set to 350dpi its always at that unless i change it. Is this where it should be or is it overkill?
Thanks

It's really ppi (pixels per inch) not dpi (dots per inch).

As it is, until a photo will be printed the pixels per inch number is meaningless, and only the pixel dimensions count.

So why in Canon DPP, is the option when converting RAW to Jpeg or tiff for output resolution as dpi ?

I guess if I wanted the image for viewing on computer, 72dpi would be enough.

What if I wanted to print a 5184x3456 72dpi @ 20x30 or something, wouldn't I want a higher dpi ? like if the printer has 600dpi should I save at 600dpi?

Starting to look into it and understanding but if I'm way out there....
Just let it go lol

i print everything at 300dpi and they look good.

You are confusing DPI (dots per inch) and PPI (pixels per inch).

DPI is used when printing
PPI is used as is a digital image viewed on screen
