what happened to my hdr?

All the component photos look ok but when i put it through photomatrix i get this.

just doesn't look right to me.

after you genereated the hdr. did you tone map it?

Looks like serious over-processing. I'm not familiar with Photomatix; are there auto-levels enabled or something like that?

i had everything on auto.
generate hdr, tone map, process.

I'd switch them all to manual and work through the process step-by-step. I suspect you'll get an altogether different result!
