Can others edit my Photos
Photos NOT OK to edit
....is that my brush won't change sizes with the mouse scroll thing. Does anyone know how to fix that??

Never tried to do it that way, but it's easy to use the [ and ] keys to decrease or increase, respectively.

you can use the [ and ] keys.

or you can hold ALT and the right mouse button, then move the mouse left and right to change the size.

no mouse scroll as far as i know.

why even "go up to" the panel? if you right click with the brush tool selected, the panel comes to you. :)

Another option that I just found, is that if (may be a big IF) you have a mouse with a wheel that not only rolls, but tilts. You could program the tilt to be 'Alt+right button' so that all you would have to do, is tilt the wheel and move left or right (up and down for hardness).

Well see there is a reason to get a Wacom tablet. There you can either use the pen or one of the dedicated buttons to increase and decrease the size. (I don't have one but it's on my list to purchase.)

Once you get used to using one, a good graphics tablet is very hard to beat.

Photoshop and Lightroom have different approaches to their UI.

Thomas Knoll, with some help/prodding from his brother John, designed Photoshop.
Mark Hamburg, the 2nd software engineer hired back in 1990 to help with Photoshop, starting designing Lightroom (codename ShadowLand) in December of 2002.

My Wacom tablet has a built in 'wheel' where you can change brush size by moving your finger around it. Alternately, it can be toggled to increase/decrease image size on the screen in the same manner. It's simple to switch between modes. Gotta love a tablet!

This.
It's basically like an iPod wheel. You scroll around to change the brush size.
The button in the middle can toggle the wheel between image zoom, layer cycle (can be handy if you're working multiple layers, although I don't usually use this a lot), brush size and image rotate (I use this a lot with brushes).
