What is this bug?

Pardon my manners, but I can't find it in any of my four insect books. Could it be in a stage? It was across a pond on a leaf and I "pulled" it in with the 600mm and 1.4x, I realize it's not macro, but you folks here are the smart ones....Identifying it has really been "bugging" me..:lmao:...Thanks for any help, Mike

There's a web site called "What's That Bug" and the people who run it can identify almost any bug out there. You should google it and send them the pic. They can probably tell you.

I'd recommend bugguide.net. That's where I get all my ID's and they are super fast. Plus the database is HUGE so if you want to search for it, you can often find it without requesting ID. There are a lot of entemologists on bugguide and many that specialize in certain areas to help you get a solid ID.
