Hey guys. I was wondering, am i able to make good bokeh with any of these following lenses?

Zuiko Digital ED, 14-42mm, F3.5-5.6
Zuiko Digital ED, 40-150mm, F4.0-5.6
Zuiko Digital, 35mm, F3.5 Macro

I will try the 150mm at f/5.6 and position the subject where the background is far away and subject is not too far from the camera.

I guess that depends on how many blades those lenses have. The more blades, the rounder the "circles" of OOF areas will be, the less blades, the "circles" of OOF areas will have more edges to them. Apparently many people find the more circular the out-focus area "circles" are, the better the aesthetics, hence the term "bokeh" (Japanese boke-aji for "blur quality").

All the lenses listed will most likely have a shallow depth-of-field and so will be easier to see what I am talking/writing about.

If I didn't make myself clear, which I am known to do, hopefully someone else will come in and explain better.

thanks guys!
too bad olympus doesnt make any cheap lenses with a large aperture.

can anyone tell me a good 3rd party lens manufacturer that has lenses compatible with an olympus e620?

Tamron and Sigma often make lenses that work with Olympus. You may want to check with them or their sites.

i.e. The Sigma 50mm f/1.4 lens has a version for 4/3 system.
