What settings to use..

Hey guys i am new to the forum and photography i really enjoy it.. i take pictures of what ever i can... But i am always on auto mode and doesnt work sometimes does any one have a guide on what settings i should have for what as i dont fully understand it...

Welcome to the forum.

We can't really tell you what settings to use because it's completely dependant on the light that you have and what you want to do with the photo.

I suggest picking up a good book. 'Understanding Exposure' gets a lot of recommendations.

Scott Kelby's "The Digital Photography Book" is a nice book as well.
