What to do on £500 budget?

Sounds good. i think what i have decided to do is go for a film SLR by Canon and then use the lenses i inherited for it. And then use an ultra portable digital camera for some pics i dont know for sure will come out great. I have got my whole life ahead of me to buy into the DSLR market so there isnt really any rush afterall..... - that's the problem with this world, it has gotten itself into a great big rush. Why?
 
Just a quick random opinion - the Ricoh GR Digital has awesome picture quality, very impressive. It has a fixed 28mm lens though, so doesn't offer much flexibility. Great as a discrete pocket carry-around camera though.

That camera looks interesting, although i couldnt find any picture samples.

I am totally confused now. What do people think of Canon EOS3000 film SLR?
