What was your first camera ?

Just very curious to know what was your first camera ?

First film camera ?
First P&S ?
First DSLR ?

My first film was an Olympus Pen I got for my bar mitzva from my mothers uncle, it knew how to cut each frame into half so a 36 frame film turned into 72, very cool camera that I used for many years.

My first P&S shoot was a crapy Casio which I had for 1 day, I bought it here in Canada and it was so bad that in anything less then perfect lighting condition it would produce grainy pictures, it was horibble and I ran to replace it, I added a little more money and bought a 5MP Samsung which served me for few years until it was involved with a bad accident and I had to buy a new camera.

My first DLSR was Sony a300 which was recommended me by a guy I know who is a Nikon guy, had it for 3 wonderful years and in a way I still miss it.

My first camera was a Kodak Brownie Fiesta. I was 5 or 6 at the time and the subjects of my photos were trees and dogs (and also dogs relieving themselves on trees). I probably destroyed that camera before I turned 7, but I remember it fondly – so much that I bought one a few months ago (I'm a camera collector and it only made sense to me to get one).

First SLR that I could call mine was a Nikon 4004s that I bought in 1991 or 92 with my dad's money. I shot with it for about 15-16 years. Sill works as new and it's almost minty. I'm saving it so I can sell it for 1,000 times its current market value ($30) when my photography makes me a celebrity.

My first digital P&S was an Olympus Camedia D-560, purchased in 2003 or 04. I donated it to Street Kids of Rwanda Homepage a month ago, so it will live on.

My first DSLR was a Nikon D70s that I got in August 2006 and sold a couple years later.

My first camera was a P&S Kodak Instamatic 104.
First "real" camera was inheriting Dad's Kodak Pony IV.
First SLR was a Nikon FG (almost immediately traded for a FM).
First DSLR was a Nikon D70s, currently in the hands of a friend who still uses it regularly.

First P&S was some generic Kodak 6MP, something or other that could barely do anything.

I don't remember what it was, but I got my first camera in 1963 (I was 12).
I got my first SLR - Minolta SR-T 101 - in 1982. This is also when I first started really learning about photography.
I started making the transition to digital with a Nikon D1X in 2002.

First DSLR: Nikon D7000
In between: Canon mju1 35mm p&s, some crappy kodak digital job, Fujifilm S5600, Fujifilm HS10.

My first film (and P&S) was one of the later Kodak Brownie models, probably a Six-20. My first, and current DSLR is a Nikon D40. My only digital P&S was a Nikon Coolpix 2200 that was given to me as a birthday gift.

The first camera I actually bought was a Kodak Instamatic (126) I got when I was about 10.

This old beast of a Miranda! Got it when I was 15(?), built like a tank, removable pentaprism, interchangable focusing screens... 1/500 max shutter, 1/60 x-sync... I used the Hades outta that camera.
