What would you use in this situation?

I'm looking for a camera (or tablet) that would be the best piece of equipment to use in this situation.


I need to be able to re-name the filenames on the spot, on the device, immediately after taking the photo, without upload to a computer.
-OR- (2nd preference)
Associate the photo with a tag, so that I know immediately where that photo was taken, and can associate it with a group of data when it gets immediately hosted to a server.


I also need to take photos in low-light environments.
Megapixel # does not matter to me.


If you don't know the answer to my question, can you suggest elsewhere that I can ask my question? Nobody has been able to help me locally where I live.

Every camera sales guy's dream customer..."that special" person who wants to "buy" a camera, use the chit out of it, then RETURN it for a full refund...

I would ask the question at a camera store and make it clear what your intentions are. They'll love you. Long time.

Try an Eye Fi SD card w/ geotagging. When you upload your pictures to a computer, smartphone or tablet it will have the coordinates of where you took that photo aka Google earth.

Longest warranty I know is B&H. Try the unit for 30 days, but the shutter count has to be under 200 or they will not accept it. I'm starting to realize why Best Buy has a crappy return policy. BTW OP, I don't condone your intentions.

Can a sale's man refuse to sell you an item if he suspects (or if you tell him) that your intentions are to purchase the item and going to return it as soon as your finished with it? Just out of interest... Lets face it, the item loses its value. And the shop has to try to resell it at a reduced price because the package has been opened and can no longer be concidered brand new...

Absolutely. Even the biggest company is still a private enterprise and can refuse to sell anything to anyone.

No one does. Not only does such behavior become the ruin of good return policies but it also contributes to prices going up for the rest of us
