What's wrong with this picture(s)?

Considering I took this with a Easyshare z650 it's pretty decent. Can anyone with an eye for flaws tell me what I could have done better in this picture(s)?

to me the colors just look dull and softened, kinda like theres a hazy filter over the lense

pic 3 the edge of the table in the frame is a bit of a distraction. It could be cropped out or more table cloned into that space.

I'd say that the first is the best. The composition's not bad. Not quite enough DOF there, there are parts that are too soft. Also, the BG is quite distracting. I find that for close-ups on flowers, a soft green BG works best.

Looks like the bloom of a Tulip-tree which bloom in June here.
