When recharging the batteries in a Nikon D7100 using a cable to an adaptor, should I have the camera turned on or off?

When recharging the batteries in a Nikon D7100 using a cable connected to the camera and a plug-in recharger, should I have the camera turned on or off during the recharging?

I would turn the camera off.
What would you be using the camera for, while you are charging the battery?

Off would charge quicker, no worries about the battery developing a memory if that was a concern. That issue was with NiCad batteries Li don’t do that.
