When the lights go out....

.... at you house and you can't watch game #3 of the World Series. What do you do??? Well I took advantage of a beautiful (and dark for the city) night and pulled out the Canon R6, with the Canon 1.4x TC and the Canon EF 400mm and shot the moon.

1) This set up at 1/800 at f/8.0 and ISO 800, cropped it square.

2) 1/800, f/8.0 and ISO 800 but changed the mode in the camera to crop (1.6)

Well duh.....such a simple idea (that I always forget about) made a lot of difference. Good shot.

Smoke, I forget about it a lot too. but getting that extra 1.6x makes a big difference when trying to capture something so far away.
