When to use the term "photography"

I also see this claim where someone can remove a watermark in 5 seconds... I have yet to see it done. A signature... sure, just crop it or even clone perhaps. But a watermark?? That would take some serious effort.

As for putting photography after your name, well, I think you're saying something about yourself. You are raising your own bar. Instead of allowing your images to do it for you (or not). If you have a business, put your business name. Otherwise, stick to your name or anything really will work for a watermark, as shown above.

But I'm guessing you're really talking about a signature... not a watermark.

Yes.. im THAT good ... OR a dick face!

BTW. How did you do the marker effect?

I guess my last name is Images then! :)

I think its pretty common to use Photography, Images or Photo after your name on your watermark.

It is pretty common.
Everybody wants a classy title after their name. It makes you legit. :sexywink:

True but I see another reason to it in a business name. When you first start in this business, no one knows who you are and if you hand out business cards that don't say photography or images or photo or etc, people may not remember what you do when they next look at the card... so it makes perfect sense to add one of these words to your name.

Now, as far as signing photos, no need to add any of that. People will know it is a photo... And actually, when I sign a photo and that would only be fine art works, it is signed in ink outside the image area, not by electronic means. :D

True. So many business cards have...

Company Name
"What we do"

Name
Address
Phone

...though.
