I actually think Budweiser is terrible.

(The darkness on the right is from the 1 hour photo lab scanning, anyone recommend a ~$200 scanner that does okay? heh)

Yeah, Bud (like most all american beer) is piss water IMO (save for microbrews like Magic Hat).

Anyway, I have the Epson V200 scanner for scanning negatives and it does an awesome job. It's discontinued now, but they offer the V300 for the same price ($99). And don't let the 3.5 rating fool you, All but one reviewer gave it 5 stars, and the idiot who gave it a 1, did so because he didn't like the extra software it came with for editing.. not Epson's fault.

If you want an example of how well it scans negatives, check out my thread.
They were scanned in .tiff format at half the max resolution the scanner is capable of (which gives me images of approx. 5000 x 7000 px) and then resized to be more "web friendly".
