I'm assuming the downtime today was for an upgrade, but the position where Search was; is now What's New, which seems to have the same information as Active Topics. Or is it there somewhere and I'm just not seeing it? I realize all the kool kidz may not bother with it, but I find it very useful.

Can someone direct me to the SEARCH function please? Cheers.....

It is a search function. You are supposed to search for it.

We are still working on the upgrade, it should be back the way it was shortly.

Okay, granted it's back on the top banner where it should be, but the functionality sucks. Can you get at least back to how it DID work?

To give you a "For Instance" rather than just sound like I'm moaning....

Used to be, I could go to Search and key-in my username to see all the posts that I contributed to for the time period selected, Yesterday, for instance. I don't always remember every thread that I make a reply to, so this search is quite useful. It "reminds" me of what thread I posted in and often is a red flag to whom I should send an apology to for my remarks. Now it will only report back any thread that I started and has had someone reply in that thread since yesterday AND I KNOW DAMN WELL OTHER THREADS HAVE BEEN ASSAULTED.

It is too restrictive.

Just my 2¢. If there is another way to find these search criteria, I'm all ears.

I agree the new Search function is so complicated and non-intuitive most will just give up and not use it. As it is, few used search before because it performed so poorly.

I too miss the 'search threads' function.

I wonder if Search would be more useful if when the Search tab is clicked on, the default was 'Search Single Content Type, rather than 'Search Multiple content Type'?

I see the Search Threads function is on the Single Content Type search page.

tah DAH!

or is it a case of...

...I didn't even notice the Single / Multiple thing.

Cheers
