so i recently sold my camera and am moving to a new one. I have pretty much settled on the $780 maximum budget for a body. i am really interested in the Nikon D90 which you can get for 780 for the body at adorama. then i plan on getting a nifty fifty because its affordable right now for me and i do alot of bokeh and portraits. i was also thinking of an equivalent canon body for similar price ( maybe T2i, but its $850, pushes my budget alot). I have used my friends XSi alot so i am pretty familiar with canon. I have never used nikon but i hear tons of good things about it and the D90. part of my problem now is seeing which camera feels better in my hands etc. Does anyone know any stores around new york city that might have these cameras to test? i really cant wait to get a new camera! i am cameraless and its driving me crazy, i also have people who want headshots. P.S> Is there a canon equivalent to the 780 price of d90 or somewhere close to that?
you sold your camera without knowing what you wanted to get? lol that's like quitting a job with no other jobs lined up. i would go crazy without a camera haha
shouldnt there be hundreds of stores? like ritz camera, best buy, target, walmart etc etc. I even think theres a B and H superstore up there somewhere....
adorama is in NYC, i order pretty much everything from them online but i would love to go to their store Adorama NYC Store
Most of the main online camera retailers are either located in NYC or have stores there. Adorama Store 42 West 18th Street, New York City, NY 10011 B&H 9th Ave. @ 34th St. New York, NY 10001 Calumet Photographic 22 W. 22nd Street New York, NY 10010 There's also the phone book.
Camera stores in NYC? Are you a troll? j/k All you have to do is throw a stone. B&H, 42nd St, J&R, Tri-State, etc.
B&H has the largest showroom/try it out location. BEWARE: If you are limited in funds do not bring a credit card...bring cash. The store is like a candy store for children...
