I need opinions about the border, not the photo.

I posted the photo to facebook, the black background is part of the facebook page.

A bevel cut mat window for the photo and a frame looks nice, if the shadowing is done realistically.

I don't know if I'd state this so absolutely, but for the most part I agree. I can't think of a single on screen image that I thought was improved by a border. Not to say it's not possible, but I really think there needs to be a good reason for it in order to work. The one thing I do like is how it allows your signature to be out of the frame in B. But you could do this with white space and no border...
