Which camera would be best for me?

Hi. I am looking into buying a new camera. My problem is I can't decide between Nikon and Canon. My price point is around $500-$600. I already have two canon lenses so that is why I'm leaning toward Canon. So I need help deciding which camera to buy. What I've been looking into most is the Canon t3i. Is that a good camera? Well I guess my first question would be which two lenses do you already have? My second question, what sort of pictures do you think you'd be taking most often?

I have a 75-300mm and a 50mm that a relative had and gave to me

These are great lenses.
If you have the two Canon lenses already, what is troubling you to stick with a Canon body?

Well since you already have the two canon lenses then probably your best bet would be to invest in a Canon of some sort, though depending on what your shooting the T3I may not be your best choice. If it were me I'd take a look at maybe a used 50d.

My main problem right now is I'm looking into the t3i and t5i. I can't decide which one to get. Is the t5i worth the extra money. I realize that the t3i has been out for a long time. And I'm also worried about low light shooting

Is the T5i worth the extra? Well from a final product standpoint, no - it won't really give you much better images than the T3i. Lowlight performance will be the same, etc. About the only thing it has going for it is the touch screen, which honestly is something I'd pay not to have - I like having my screen flipped around so I can see various settings at a glance. Now what happens with a touch screen when you put the camera up to your face to shoot? Ya, not a good feature as far as i'm concerned.

So really it's only other advantage would be shooting speed of 5 FPS and a little bit better autofocus system, whereas the 50d gives you 6.3 FPS and the same autofocus system as the T5i for a lot less money and without some godawful touch screen. So yup, I'd go with the 50d.

Get the t3i, since you have the 2 lenses it makes sense to stick with Canon and the extra doodahs you will get on the t5i is not that important.

The performance in low light is fine. I have a 1100D (i.e. a t3, cheaper than the t3i, less megapixels) and it works fine in low light (dependant on the glass obviously - the kit lens isnt terribly fast)
