I can't speak of the Canon model but would purchase the D7000 over the D90 because it just came out. I would imagine all cameras in the same price range have similar specs.

None. You are not ready to own one yet. Do you buy a car by getting on line and asking which car to buy? Do you get on line and ask which house to buy? Then why a DSLR. You are not buying a camera you are buying a system. Do your homework. Check out the different brands, See what the positives and negatives of each body and system. Go to a camera shop, check out the bodies you are interested in, see which ones feel right to you. Check out the layout of the controls. Then you will have a basis to make a decision on what system is right for your needs.

I think you should get the blue camera.
