Firstly having used none of these feel free to ignore.I have been looking at wide angles recently and by chance there was a review of 8 different ones on a mag I subscribe to this month, where these 2 got 4 out of 5 stars. According to said review there was very little to distinguish between them. The overall winner in this in the test was a sigma 10-20 f3.5 which is slightly more expensive. I have read very similar reviews in the past giving me the impression that I personally would happily choose either and probably not notice a difference

Hi Jaomul,

Thanks for your answer, could you possibly send me the review, or at least the magazine name and which month exactly?

Thanks again.

Both dpreview & Photozone give a slight
edge to the sigma, although dpreview rates image quality the
same for both. It seems to boil down to center sharpness on the
tammy vs overall sharpness of the sigma.

Sigma 10-20mm F4-5.6 EX Lens vs Tamron AF 10-24mm f/3.5-4.5 Flickr Thread.

Opted for the Sigma 10-20mm F4-5.6 EX Lens. Bought used for $300.
But both are so close can't go wrong with either at their price points.

Tho that extra 4mm on the far end could come in handy.
But tamron's are know for their slower AF over faster Sigma HSM.

Google "Tamron AF 10-24mm f/3.5-4.5 vs Sigma 10-20" for more info.
.

If you private message me your email address I will scan the full reviews to you tomorrow, or if you prefer to buy the mag it is September 2012 edition of "Digital Photo". It is in Ireland I bought this but not sure if it is an international mag

What's your budget? How about the Tokina 11-16mm F2.8? It quite affordable considering its aperture range and positive reviews.
I bought one for my sister. She uses a Nikon. So far no complain.

Hi Mol.
Thanks, but unfortunately I can spend no more than $500 for this lens.
