I took these two photos for the 'macro' section of the Canon EOS Photo 5 competition (Australia and New Zealand only as far as I know). The macro brief requires the use of 100's and 1000's. I have already entered one of these photos but I feel like I made the wrong choice and should have entered the other one (it's too late now to change anyway). But just curious to see which would have been a better option in the eyes of others.
Also, it is worth mentioning that the word macro shouldn't be taken to literally, they aren't looking for super 10x magnification type closeups, but something creative that shows some closeup details.
